There is no password. We do not want to hold one. You get a link that works once and stops working after fifteen minutes.
We never store anything that can sign you in. The link, and the session it creates, are kept only as one-way fingerprints. A stolen copy of our database contains nothing anyone can log in with.
Your device is identified by a code it shows you, not by a serial number we collected. We hold a scrambled form of its hardware identity that cannot be turned back into the original.
We will not confirm whether an address is registered. Every address gets the same answer on this screen. So if you mistype yours, no email arrives and the page still looks like it worked — which is deliberate, because a form that says “no such account” lets anyone use it to find out who our customers are.
